M25 vs M40 mounting: The M25 designation indicates a smaller cable gland entry designed for mast brackets and pole installations. M40 models use a larger cable gland and are sized to mount directly into a cutout in a control cabinet door or enclosure panel.
Cat 1 vs Cat 4: The 2401 series (Cat 1) delivers 10 Mbps down and 5 Mbps up — sufficient for Modbus telemetry, remote PLC access, alarm signalling, and basic CCTV. The 4401 series (Cat 4) increases this to 150 Mbps down, better suited to remote HMI access, video feeds, or higher-volume data collection.
